High-Load Forged Rods for Pressure Vessels

We provided a 20CrMnSi (custom-made) heavy pressure vessel blank made of forged rod materials, with high-order custom for the safe operation of high-pressure equipment.

Key Features:

Size & Tolerance: φ140×3500 mm, diameter ±0.08 mm, straightness ≤0.07 mm/m

Machining: Rough turning to Ra 3.2, machining allowance 0.5 mm for grinding, preliminary threading

Heat Treatment: Quenching at 860°C + tempering at 600°C, hardness HB 280–320, tensile strength ≥1100 MPa

Quality Control: Ultrasonic testing (UT) per GB/T 6402, no defects ≥φ2 mm

Application:

These rods are placed into large pressure vessels (80 m³) and are designed to handle ≥600 kN at 4.0 MPa working pressure.
