Properly balanced and trued support bearings will minimize run-out and concentricity, pulley chatter, ensure trouble-free operation.
The material and heat treatment are selected in such a way that the torque capacity, fatigue safety and operational loads are satisfied.
The anodized (for aluminum) and plated/polished (for steel) finishes also enhance wear resistance and help ensure accurate readings in contaminated environments.
